Children and Family
Familjearken works with children, young people, and families living with HIV through knowledge, community, and meaningful activities.
Noaks Ark Stockholm offers activities and opportunities for participation through Familjearken, which is part of our support services. We work in close collaboration with Barnhivcentrum (the Pediatric HIV Centre). What makes our work unique is that we include the entire target group—children, young people, and families living with HIV—and support both their shared needs and their individual needs.
Our vision is to shape a new generation of families living with HIV, together. Through our activities, we help reduce stigma, increase quality of life and well-being, and contribute to a deeper shift in how HIV is understood. By meeting one another, we grow stronger; united by shared experiences, we can move HIV issues forward toward normalization and build bridges across generations.
Families living with HIV look different from one another. Sometimes one family member lives with HIV, sometimes several. Sometimes it is a child, sometimes an adult, and sometimes both. What all these families share is that everyone is living with HIV in some way, often in different ways.
If you are…
…a child or young person (under 18) living with HIV,
…a parent living with HIV,
…a parent or sibling to someone living with HIV,
…a friend, relative, or a loved one to children and young people living with HIV,
then Familjearken is for you.
