Noaks Ark model

Noaks Ark works to prevent the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections and to increase the well-being of those living with HIV and their relatives. We work from three positions; knowledge, support, and opinion formation.

Knowledge

Noaks Ark has a large range of courses, publishes informational material about HIV, and runs the Noaks Ark Direct help line +46(0)20-78 44 40. Our work to distribute information focuses mainly on primary prevention and on strengthening the position of people living with HIV in society by working against stigmatization. At Noaks Ark, you can learn more about HIV through courses, lectures, and information materials. Feel free to contact us both as a private person and in your professional role. You can also get answers to questions about HIV and other things that can be transmitted through sex by calling Noaks Ark Direct at +46 (0)20-78 44 40 or by visiting one of our local offices.

Support

Noaks Ark is available to everyone living with HIV. We offer conversation groups, individual support conversations, psychotherapy and social activities for HIV-positive people and their relatives. All people are different and we try to find different ways to strengthen HIV-positive people and increase the well-being of those living with HIV and their relatives. Noaks Ark’s support activities also work with secondary prevention by helping those who are already living with HIV not to transfer the infection further.

Opinion formation

For many people, what they see on television or read in the newspaper is the only source of knowledge about HIV. The media’s role is important when it comes to creating awareness and engagement around HIV issues. Noaks Ark is constantly working to raise various HIV issues through various forms of advocacy work, debate articles, and press releases.
