Malmö Faith-Based House host Sexuality Education for their Men’s Fellowship
As part of the European Testing Week activities on 23 May 2026, Noaks Ark Mosaik carried out a community outreach under the HIV & Faith initiative at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Restoration Assembly Malmö, through the Men of Valor fellowship.
Represented by Ibado, Rosemary & Abimbola, the engagement created an open and culturally grounded space for dialogue around sexuality education, with particular focus on how migrant fathers and men can have healthy, informed conversations with their children about sexuality, rights, relationships, and identity in a rapidly changing global and Swedish context.
The programme also integrated community-based health services, including testing for HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and syphilis, alongside a pilot non-communicable disease (NCD) screening component with blood pressure checks and random blood sugar testing. The strong community response highlighted the importance of holistic and accessible health interventions that meet people where they are.
One of the strongest lessons from the outreach was the value of co-designing programmes from the bottom up, shaped by the realities, concerns, and expressed needs of the communities being served. By listening first and building trust through faith and community structures, outreach becomes more relevant, more accepted, and ultimately more effective.
Noaks Ark Mosaik also acknowledges the important support and oversight of the Swedish Public Health Agency in funding the HIV & Faith project and strengthening community-led approaches to HIV prevention and health promotion in Sweden.
