The Spring EU Testing week was a success
From 18–23 May 2026, Noaks Ark Mosaik joined the European Testing Week Spring Campaign with a series of community outreach activities across Helsingborg, Malmö, and Kristianstad, bringing messages of hope, inclusion, and evidence-based sexual and reproductive health education closer to the communities we serve.
Through community dialogue, awareness sessions, and integrated testing activities, the outreach focused on increasing access to accurate information on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), while also promoting early testing and prevention. Community members were offered integrated screening for HIV, hepatitis B and C, and syphilis, alongside opportunities for open conversations around stigma, prevention, and health-seeking behaviour.
One of the strongest reflections from this year’s campaign was the importance of taking services directly into communities and designing interventions that are culturally responsive, community-informed, and grounded in trust. Across the different cities, we saw again that people engage more openly when health information is delivered in safe, respectful, and familiar spaces.
Noaks Ark Mosaik extends its appreciation to the Swedish Public Health Agency for the Project Fund for HIV Testing support, which made these activities possible.
As we reflect on this year’s Spring European Testing Week, we also recognise the need for sustained investment in scientifically sound and community-led models that have demonstrated impact. Long-term and scalable funding remains essential to strengthening prevention, reducing late diagnosis, and ensuring equitable access to testing and health information for all communities in Sweden.
