Noaks Ark Mosaik meets Malmö International Rotary Club
On 20 April 2026, the Executive Manager of Noaks Ark Mosaik, Povi Foly Lawson, participated as a guest speaker at the Malmö International Rotary Club in Malmö, where she reflected on Sweden’s HIV journey and the important role civil society organisations continue to play in strengthening prevention, awareness, support, and access to care.
The discussion highlighted how Sweden has made significant progress over the years through collaboration between public health institutions, healthcare systems, researchers, and community-based organisations. At the same time, it acknowledged that challenges remain, particularly in ensuring equitable access to information, testing, prevention, and care for migrants, key populations, and communities that may face stigma, exclusion, or structural barriers.
Povi emphasised that trust and community engagement remain central to encouraging positive health-seeking behaviour. Civil society organisations such as Noaks Ark Mosaik often serve as important bridges between communities and healthcare systems by creating safer spaces for dialogue, increasing health literacy, and supporting people to access services earlier and with greater confidence.
The conversation also reflected a hopeful and collaborative vision for the future, one where stronger partnership across sectors can continue to reduce inequalities and ensure that no community is left behind in Sweden’s public health response.
