Education

The association’s preventive work involves education and spreading information regarding  HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) as well as treatment. Knowledge about HIV, STIs, SRHR and treatment is important to reduce the stigma and discrimination of those living with HIV. The preventive work is carried out from several perspectives, sex and relations perspective, cultural perspective, gender perspective, and equality perspective.

We offer:

  • Lectures
  • Educations
  • Continuing education
  • Tutorial
  • Information desk
  • Study visit

We address various clients and arenas, private individuals, those living with HIV, and various professional groups who in their work come into contact with HIV, STI, and SRHR issues. In our information and educational work, we come into contact with different target groups.

Examples of target groups we meet:

  • Personnel in health care
  • Pupils and staff at junior and senior high schools
  • Students and staff at universities and colleges
  • Young people and staff at care-take homes
  • Various authorities, e.g. Försäkringskassan, the Swedish Migration Agency, and the Social Administration
  • Method education

Method education

A central part of our courses is hospitality. We train in methods, treatment and intercultural communication to reach different target groups with information about “sensitive” issues and topics.

Education based on the target group
We tailor an education based on wishes, needs, and target groups. Everyone at the association works under confidentiality.
