Hiv i skuggan av tro

The combination of low knowledge about HIV/sexual health and misconceptions due to religion strongly contributes to stigma against people living with HIV and makes it difficult for them to live with the infection. Based on this, and inspired by organizations working with similar target groups in other European countries, specifically in the UK, Noaks Ark Mosaik sought funding to work specifically with faith communities in our region.

A pilot project was carried out with good results during 2023. The project has received funding from the Public Health Agency for 2024 and 2025 as well, and the goal of the project is to establish a long-term collaboration with faith communities and other religious organizations to reach their members with updated information about HIV/STIs and SRHR.
