Welcome to Noaks Ark Småland & Halland!

Noaks Ark Småland & Halland works to increase the well-being and quality of life of people living with HIV and preventing the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). By raising awareness and knowledge about HIV, STIs and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), we can alleviate the vulnerability of people living with HIV in society and counteract exclusion, stigma and discrimination.

The association works with three main tasks:

  • Psychosocial support for people living with HIV and their close ones
  • Prevention with information and education on HIV, STI, SRHR issues and social aspects.
  • Rapid response HIV test and distribution of self-sampling kit for chlamydia

Noaks Ark Småland & Hallands activity area is Kronobergs län, Hallands län, Region Jönköpings län and Kalmar län.

You can help reduce stigma and discrimination!

We are looking for volunteers for our organization. As a volunteer, you engage in the betterment of your community. Volunteering at Noaks Ark Småland & Halland gives you increased knowledge of HIV, STIs and SRHR issues. Experiences that can be an asset to you in the job market. Evaluation from volunteers shows that volunteering with us gives a sense of self worth, is enriching in new knowledge and meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Get tested for HIV at Noaks Ark

At our facility you can take a HIV test and get answers within 15 minutes. The reception is centrally located at Kungsgatan 15 B in Växjö. Here you meet knowledged, warm and professional staff, in a homely environment. The test is free and you can be anonymous.

Drop in
Open Mondays at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
You do not need to make an appointment.

Extra opening hours
During the European Testing Week and in connection to World AIDS Day, the test reception has extra opening hours for drop in, November 27 and November 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Self-sampling of Chlamydia

At our facility you can pick up a free self-administered Chlamydia kit.
