Someone to talk to

Noaks Ark Småland & Halland offers psychosocial support for those living with HIV and those close to you. We are a complement to infection clinics and take care of the soft questions regarding soul, heart and thought. The psychosocial support has several dimensions, ranging from dialogue (individual and/or group), self-strengthening efforts, practical help, social activities, advice, education and community. We who work at the association are trained, have many years of experience and everyone has confidentiality.

Meet others in a similar situation

Those that live with HIV or their close ones can meet others in a similar situation, get help and support or just get a sense of community. The association has a developed cooperation with infection clinics in Halland, Jönköping, Kronoberg and Kalmar.

We offer:

Upon request for psychosocial support, we have a conversation where you can tell us what support you’d like. During this conversation, we will tell you about the activities and the support that can be offered.

Psychosocial dialogue individually and/or in groups

  • Counseling
  • Motivational
  • Curative
  • CBT oriented

Psychosocial activities

  • Travel to individual conversations, conversation groups, group activities, self-help groups
  • Lunch / coffee to break out of exclusion and isolation
  • Camp activities

Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy (CBT)

  • Based on thoughts, feelings and behaviors
  • Understanding the relationship between them

Like all psychosocial support, your need and choice of method determines the focus and number of times you want to meet.
