At its heart, TUKO PAMOJA; We stand together, recognises that an effective HIV response extends beyond medical treatment. Health literacy, community participation, human rights, social inclusion and access to reliable information are equally important in creating an environment where people can access healthcare, exercise their rights and live with dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Putting Community Health and Rights at the Centre<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stigma, discrimination and social exclusion can create barriers to HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care. These challenges may be compounded by gender inequality, disability-related barriers and limited access to culturally appropriate health information and support. TUKO PAMOJA seeks to address these challenges by strengthening community-led health education, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) awareness, peer engagement and community-based testing. Through a train-the-trainer approach, the project will adapt Noaks Ark Mosaik&#8217;s experience in HIV prevention, stigma reduction, SRHR education and community engagement to the Tanzanian context. Planned activities include community education sessions, safe dialogue spaces, a locally adapted community information service and community testing events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme is aimed to reach at least 1,200 marginalised community members, with women and girls accounting for at least 60% of participants. It also designed to strengthen referral and linkage to clinical care for people with reactive HIV screening results. These targets will guide implementation, monitoring and learning throughout the project period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Noaks Ark Mosaik: Sharing Experience, Strengthening Local Capacity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noaks Ark Mosaik brings experience in community-based HIV prevention, testing, stigma reduction and SRHR education in Sweden. Through this initiative, the organisation will support the transfer and contextual adaptation of practical approaches that can strengthen local capacity and community engagement. The project will draw on the Noaks Ark train-the-trainer model and established approaches such as HIV i skuggan av tro (HIV in the Shadow of Faith), which engages faith leaders in HIV awareness and stigma reduction, alongside the Noaks Ark Direct information service model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our main partner, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/fccstz\/\"><strong>Foster Community\u2019s Creative Solution (FCCS), Tanzania<\/strong><\/a> <strong><\/strong>will be contributing local knowledge, community relationships and implementation experience, including its existing community-led monitoring programme. Together, we aim to develop approaches that are culturally responsive, locally relevant and sustainable beyond the project&#8217;s funding period. We look forward to complement FCCS&#8217;s institutional capacity, equipping its staff and peer educators with the knowledge, tools and skills to deliver evidence-informed community health education and SRHR initiatives beyond the project period. By combining community leadership, international experience and academic expertise, the partnership seeks to strengthen local ownership and contribute to more inclusive and sustainable HIV responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UNISA: Strengthening Research, Monitoring and Evaluation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our collaborators from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unisa.ac.za\/\">University of South Africa (UNISA)<\/a>&nbsp; will provide academic and methodological support, including the co-design and validation of context-specific monitoring and evaluation tools, data quality assurance, indicator alignment and quarterly data review and learning. This technical collaboration will benefit from the expertise of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unisa.ac.za\/sites\/corporate\/default\/Colleges\/Human-Sciences\/News-%26-events\/Articles\/A-noble-scholar-making-great-strides-in-academia-and-society\">Professor Azwihangwisi Helen Mavhandu-Mudzusi<\/a>&nbsp;, Director of the School of Social Sciences, College of Human Sciences, and <a href=\"https:\/\/w2.unisa.ac.za\/CW\/SITES\/CORPORAT\/DEFAULT\/COLLEGES\/HUMAN_SC\/SCHOOLS_\/SCHOOL_O\/DEPARTME\/STAFF_ME\/DR_AYOBA.HTM\">Dr Ayobami Precious Adekola<\/a>&nbsp;, Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Gender and Sexuality Studies, School of Social Sciences, College of Human Sciences. Their technical contributions will support the development of locally appropriate measurement tools, evidence-informed programme adaptation and systematic assessment of community health, SRHR and stigma-related outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>An Invitation to Collaborate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meaningful progress in HIV prevention, health equity and human rights requires collaboration among communities, healthcare professionals, civil society organisations, researchers, faith leaders and policymakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noaks Ark Mosaik welcomes opportunities for dialogue, knowledge exchange and collaboration with organisations and stakeholders committed to reducing stigma, strengthening community resilience and advancing the rights of people living with HIV.
