ABOUT NOAKS ARK GÖTEBORG & VÄSTRA GÖTALAND

The association was founded in Gothenburg for the first time in 1987 when the HIV epidemic began to leave its mark in Sweden. In January 2018, the association in Gothenburg underwent a major change with new statutes, a new board, and a newly hired staff.

Based on the epidemiological situation, the association has subsequently worked from a holistic perspective in terms of sexual and reproductive health and rights with a particular focus on HIV. With a competent, committed, and experienced board and employees, Noaks Ark Göteborg & Västra Götaland contributes to a credible, in-depth, and broad knowledge of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Our vision

“Through cooperation and volunteer work, we can strengthen the trust of the association and the trust in the Noaks Ark organization as a whole. By doing so, the association can approach its target vision, which is a world where the individual grows and develops in a state of physical, emotional, and social well-being in relation to all aspects of sexuality and reproduction. A world where knowledge about HIV and other sexually transmitted infections is up-to-date and there is no stigma or discrimination.”
