You are welcome to turn to our counseling and ask any questions you want regarding HIV or other sexually transmitted and blood-borne diseases.

We who answer the phones have over 30 years of experience working with HIV. We are available for you on non-holiday weekdays between 10am and 12pm. During week 29 and 30 we are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Noaks Ark Direct receives calls from all over Sweden. It’s free to call and you can remain anonymous. The call is not registered on your phone bill. You are welcome regardless of whether you are worried about yourself, have someone close to you who has HIV. You may be looking for information because you encounter people with HIV in your profession or because you are writing a paper on the subject. We provide you with information, advice, and support in the way that suits you best.

What can we help you with?

We answer your questions regarding routes of transmission, symptoms, how an HIV test is done, where you can get tested, and how to treat HIV and other sexually transmitted and blood-borne diseases. We can also offer you emotional support if you are worried about your sexual health or if you have questions about what it is like living with HIV. You get the time you need. It is your needs that guide the conversation and we do not interrupt because “time is up”. With us at Noaks Ark, you can calmly explore what is important to you so that you can come to your own decision. We cannot tell you what to do, we are there as a support and together we can try to find solutions to your problems. You can of course call back several times and speak to the same counselor.

Correct information

All of us who works at Noaks Ark Direct have extensive experience in both HIV and telephone counseling. We are used to talking about difficult subjects such as guilt, shame, fear of death, infidelity, sexual identity, and self-esteem. We make an effort to stay up-to-date on HIV research so that you can feel confident and trust that the information you receive from us is accurate and nuanced. We are of course bound by confidentiality.
